Highly recommend, coming from someone who got U for math consistently until I finally joined halfway through J2 where i eventually scored A for math during A levels.

Chu Wei is able to explain concepts very well and can find ways to ensure everyone is able to understand. He also makes math more interesting and helped me to rekindle my interest in math. He's also very willing to stay long after class to help answer any questions you have to ensure you fully understand the concepts, and will respond to your texts of questions about your schoolwork with detailed solutions

Mr Lim is a caring and dedicated teacher. He never fails to help me when i have difficulties answering questions and is willing to stay back even after class till late nights to help me and other students. Chu Wei was my h2 math tutor from j1 till the A levels. His lessons were fun and engaging, and he simplified difficult concepts for us to understand. When going through tutorial questions, he ensures that everyone understood and cleared their doubts before moving on. He never fails to make us smile and enjoy lessons. Beyond the classroom, Chu Wei is a good friend. We can text him questions and he takes time out of his schedule to clear any misconceptions we may have. AO studies also has a lounge, provided just for students to self study. During the A level period (or any time really…), the lounge serves as a great study spot with its quiet and private ambiance, away from the suffocating pressure of the library. It helped me to focus and concentrate on my studies. I recently had the pleasure of working with Mr Lim Chu Wei as my mathematics tutor during the 2 years of my JC education, and I cannot speak highly enough of his exceptional teaching skills and expertise. From the very first session, I knew that I had made the right choice in selecting him as my tutor.

One of Mr Lim's greatest strengths is his ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a way that is both easy to understand and engaging. He has an intuitive understanding of how to break down difficult problems and equations into smaller, more manageable steps, and he does so in a patient, friendly, and supportive manner. His enthusiasm for mathematics is infectious, and I found myself becoming more and more interested in the subject the longer I worked with him.

Another aspect of Mr Lim's teaching that I particularly appreciated was his focus on developing my problem-solving skills. Rather than simply providing me with the answers to questions, he would guide me through the process of solving them myself, which not only helped me to learn the material more thoroughly but also gave me greater confidence in my abilities. Mr Lim would also be eager to work overtime to ensure that his students would grasp the mathematical concepts taught during his lessons(bonus points for being a hardworking teacher ^-^).

Overall, I would highly recommend Mr Lim Chu Wei to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, passionate, and effective mathematics tutor. Chu Wei was my H2 maths tutor from the start of J1 to A levels. Despite having gotten A2 for both my A and E maths for O levels, I was still struggling with certain fundamental concepts of mathematics. Chu Wei was a tutor who made learning math simple - he explained difficult concepts in simplified manners, making concepts much easier to grasp. He made sure that students got their fundamentals right, are able to solve standard level questions first, before pushing on to higher order questions. The tutorials were definitely challenging, and there were definitely questions which I struggled to solve. However, these challenging questions had a purpose - they were adapted from the past A levels higher order questions, and aimed to prep us to be able to master the harder questions A level throws at us. Beyond being a highly professional and helpful tutor, Chu Wei is also a friend who will never fail to connect with us, understand our difficulties and help us out whenever we struggle. He often stays back for long periods after class, even though it was late at night, just to ensure that students could understand how to solve questions they were unsure in. Joining AO studies means having a slew of welfare too! Besides the free drinks, snacks and hot towels in class, AO studies has a lounge just for its students to self-study. During my A level period, it was really beneficial to have a private space, away from the stresses of the crowded library, to focus and concentrate on my studies. Through Mr Lim’s classes, I was constantly challenged and stumped by the difficult questions that were presented to me. While it was grueling, it allowed me to gain greater exposure and familiarize myself with the concepts I was taught. During his lessons, Mr Lim always emphasized on the importance of understanding the concepts and constantly reminded us to not memorise and take fixed approaches towards answering questions as it would only lead to our downfall when faced with the questions we had to solve. As an individual who mainly scored well for math in secondary school as a result of practicing fixed sets and variations of questions, Mr Lim’s explanation of concepts in class was a breath of fresh air and reminded me of how dynamic concepts could be at a higher level of education. Even though it was difficult to fully wrap my mind around the concepts that were presented to me, Mr Lim would always check that I understood what was taught and would even kindly find and adopt new ways to simplify these concepts so as to better my understanding.

While I struggled in math throughout my JC education, Mr Lim’s classes undeniably helped me grasp math better. Upon realizing that I was struggling to improve my math grades, Mr Lim provided me with yearly and topical practice papers to urge me to practice and get acquainted with the difficult questions and concepts that I desperately tried to escape from in my JC education. After completing each practice paper, Mr Lim also kindly offered to mark them even though it meant increasing the workload for him that already seemed heavy with the number of classes he had. After marking each paper, he would also provide feedback as well as correct my mistakes with his guidance by staying back to go through them with me after class.

Besides the practice papers, I strongly believe that what gave me the biggest boost in my understanding in math was definitely the intensive lessons that he encouraged us to sign up for. While those intensive classes were held during the lead-up months of the A levels where I continued to struggle in math and lose confidence and faith in myself, I was surprised to find myself improving in the topics covered in the lessons where I was able to do challenging questions that I once would’ve never thought I could’ve done. This allowed me to feel more confident in scoring and strategizing for the A levels . Ultimately, this allowed me to improve my math grades from a persistent S/U to an E in prelim and finally an A in the A-level exams.

As a student who struggled with math to the point of crying and feeling hopeless while seeing my peers surpass me, the journey was arduous. However, having a compassionate teacher like Mr Lim to urge me on was truly comforting. Though embarrassing, I vividly remember having to be pep-talked by Mr Lim after breaking down from the built-up stress that overwhelmed me in class. Having realised that I was someone who was easily overwhelmed and anxious when incapable of understanding concepts, Mr Lim remained receptive to my needs by checking with me in class if I needed guidance and explanation. With Mr Lim being amiable in nature, he also lightened the mood in class by conversing and joking with students. During break time, he also offered light refreshments and played calming music, allowing his students to take a breather.

AO Studies and Chu Wei had created a great and supportive learning environment for our boy, Christopher and the students who signed up with the Centre. Chu Wei had been encouraging and patient throughout the period Christopher was under his guidance. He had also presented lessons and taught in interesting, engaging, fun and easy to remember ways. Chu Wei was also always open and available for any consultations and showed real sincerity and care towards the welfare and best interest of his students. He helped Christopher to regain his confidence in Mathematics and journeyed supportingly with Christopher through the difficult A levels year. joined AO Studies after receiving a U grade for math during mid-years, jumped to an A in A levels. During math lessons, he ensures that every student understands the concept before moving on. Outside math lessons, he wouldn't mind spending extra time to individually refresh concepts with us. In addition, he gives alot of good advice regarding various decisions despite it not being part of his job scope. I thoroughly enjoyed math lessons every week and truly believe in his supplementary lessons which are held nearing exam periods. I did not regret joining AO Studies. amath was never a subject i could excel in. In secondary 3, after taking up amath, i was only barely passing the class tests and was very confused in school during the amath lessons. However, after joining AOstudies in secondary 4, i could see an improvement in my grades. From getting a D7 in Secondary 3 EOY to a C5 in prelims and finally and A2 in the o levels! None of this could have been possible without the help of Chu Wei. He is an excellent teacher that is very clear and concise in his teaching. He never hesitates to clarify my doubts whenever i need help. His methods are extremely helpful in helping me understand all the concepts in secondary maths and i was able to apply what i learnt from him and with his guidance i managed to secure an A1 in EM and an A2 in AM in the o levels.

**A Level update

From a D7 in secondary school to an A for H2 math in the A levels, none of this would have been possible without the help of Chu Wei. Mr Lim's teaching methods are extremely helpful and will always go the extra mile to help you with your doubts and queries. His methodology has helped me understand and improve at math in a much simpler way that i am able to easily apply whatever is learned, whether it is understanding the question or the approach to answering one. Beyond that, Mr Lim is also an extremely kind and caring teacher and will never fail to brighten up your day. His lessons are extremely enjoyable and has made me take a liking to math even more. Needless to say, i would not have achieved such a feat without the help of Chu Wei and i am extremely grateful toward him for coaching me for the past few years.
